Services and Pricing*

Medical Nutrition Counseling

  • Our Registered Dietitians can assess your nutritional status if you have an illness, diet-related condition, injury, interested in benefitting your own health, and/or reducing health-care costs.
  • Our Registered Dietitians specialize in helping you to meet your goals for weight loss/gain, chronic disease prevention/management, recovery from eating disorders, navigating food allergies and sensitivities, eating for optimal athletic performance, getting the most out of a vegetarian/vegan diet, building your best relations with food, and much more.
  • Initial consults are typically 45-60 minutes and include an initial assessment of anthropometrics, weight and diet history, meal patterns, goal setting, and nutrition instruction.
  • Follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes.
  • One-on-one nutrition counseling is available by appointment. Initial consults are typically $100/60 minutes and follow-ups are $50/30 minutes. Cost varies by time, $25 per quarter hour.

Diet Analysis

  • A Registered Dietitian can provide you with information on the nutritional value of the foods, including exact calorie and fat count to the vitamin and mineral content of your favorite food or recipes.
  • This analysis is available by appointment and price varies with the number of ingredients per recipe.

Body Composition Assessment and Consultation

  • The “Gold Standard” in its field, the Bod Pod is only available in a few Mississippi location, the UM Nutrition Clinic is one of those few!
  • The Bod Pod is a body composition assessment system that calculates the percentage of fat and muscle mass.
  • The Bod Pod is available at the Clinic by appointment and is $50 per test.
  • If RD consultation is desired, additional time can be scheduled.

Diet Recall and/or Food Diary Evaluation

  • Have you ever wondered if the foods you eat are adequate or too much for you? Doing a 3-day food intake (diet recall or food diary) can help you decide.
  • Our nutrition experts will analyze your food intake for a given period of time, usually 1-3 days.
